OPC UA for Woodworking/Ernst Esslinger, Homag

Since July 2017, the working group has been developing a Companion Specification for woodworking machines. Members from the European sector committee EUMABOIS sit together for this purpose in order to achieve standardised vertical networking. They work closely with the umati managers (machine tools), as there are many similarities. Covered use cases are Asset Management, Identification, Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring. The release is scheduled for 2020.
