OPC UA for Machine Tools/Andreas Wohlfeld, Trumpf; Tonja Heinemann, ISW Stuttgart

In 2017, this working group has started to develop an OPC UA Companion Specification. This is intended to provide a universal communication interface for the interface between machine tools and vertical communication partners, such as MES or ERP. For this purpose, selected use cases will be implemented in a first part. Publication is planned for 2020. The development process is supported by ISW Stuttgart.
