Compared to other laser light sources the ViBO component is up to 5 – 10 times smaller, so it’s leading in miniaturization. ViBO also comes with monolithically integrated micro-optics, and therefore the lifetime is increased, as interfaces are eliminated. Optical engineers also get maximum freedom in design to create any illumination profile they can think of. Additionally, the design of the entire sensing system becomes easier with smaller ViBO components. Eye-safety is guaranteed as well, especially as the optics are an irremovable part of ViBO. ViBO not only serves the requests in consumer electronics illumination applications, but also in automotive for applications such as LiDAR.
