S1 punch-laser combi machine: 0.8 mm mild steel nesting
In this video, you can see a 14-piece nesting punched and cut with the Salvagnini S1 punch-laser combi machine. The raw material is mild steel, size 2500x1250 mm. The thickness is 0.8 mm. The total cycle time is about 14 minutes.
The sorting device TM automatically picks up and stacks parts once processing is complete. However, depending on the production strategy, the parts could be micro-jointed to the skeleton and then separated manually.
In this video, you can also see several unique features of the S1 punch-laser combi machine:
- the multi-press head can house up to 59 tools at the same time, guaranteeing high punch-die alignment precision, and thus machining quality, with reduced cycle times, eliminating in-cycle set-ups and the related waiting times;
- the fiber laser head, positioned to the side of the multi-press head, performs the cutting operations on the sheet, guaranteeing maximum freedom in cutting geometries and also ensuring the final separation of the part;
- the optional, electrical tapping unit, which can house up to 6 different tools, can be installed to the side of the operating head.
- the manipulator with two independent carriages ensures accurate centering and fast processing. Each carriage has 3 independently opening extended grippers, one with variable set-up, to make it possible to machine all areas of the sheet;
- in a very compact layout, the S1 can be equipped with automatic loading and unloading/sorting devices.
