Get it Done with Robotic Assembly Plastics Technical Solutions Corp. (PTS), a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, designed, built and programmed a fully automated electrical component assembly system. How the System Works First Station: Parts are fed and oriented by an Asycube 240 flexible feeder. A FANUC SR-3iA SCARA robot uses iRVision to detect and pickup parts. Seven parts are then placed in the rotary turntable nest. The rotary turntable dial indexes 90 degrees and provides the SCARA a new empty nest. Second Station: Parts are fed and oriented by Moorfeed vibratory feeders to the SCARA robot which picks parts from the rotary turntable nest to position and place them in the correct orientation for product assembly. Third Station: A FANUC LR MATE 200iD/4S robot picks another part and assists in the sub-assembly process of all three parts located in the nest. Once assembly is complete, the final product is handed to the offload mechanism, turned 90 degrees, and placed on the offload conveyor. Get it Done with Automated Storage and Retrieval System

APT Manufacturing Solutions is a FANUC Authorized System Integrator that designed and built an automated storage and retrieval system to track, trace and process one-of-a-kind orthodontic aligners and retainers. APT integrated FANUC robots with local control systems and a PC-based server used to connect and transfer data back and forth to cloud-based data servers. The data continuously updates, and the system fulfills customer orders based on inventory. How the System Works FANUC CRX-10iA/L collaborative robots equipped with iRVision® load retainers to an infeed conveyor. Next, two FANUC ER-4iA robots use bar code readers to find and verify parts. Materials for each order are stored until all components are available and cleared to be released for packaging. The system uses FANUC M-10iD/12 robots for both order storage and retrieval. Prior to packaging, orders are re-verified then prepared for shipment. Each order is unique, and once complete, part tracking and traceability data is archived. Get it Done with High Precision Laser Guided Routing

FANUC’s Authorized System Integrator Totally Automated Systems (TA Systems) designed and built a high precision, proprietary laser routing solution that can repeatably route a 3.5mm radius on a dimensionally unstable substrate. This routing system is driven with an advanced 2D and 3D laser measuring system that scans the part's position and profile and feeds the information back to the FANUC robot which then precisely routes a 3.5mm radius along the edge of the part. The robot's EOAT can handle seven different types of parts. Once the routing is complete, the robot does a final scan with the laser system and outputs that information to the HMI which has color indicators showing validation measurements. Pick, Pack, Seal and Label with Stac Material Handling

FANUC America’s Authorized System Integrator Stac Material Handling has developed an automated system to pick, pack, seal, and label natural gas stove distribution caps. How the System Works: As parts travel down the infeed conveyor, a FANUC M-10iD/12 robot tracks their position using iRVision 2D and an encoder to record their position and speed. The robot's EOAT grabs four parts and packs them into a slotted tray inside of a box. When the tray fills with 12 parts, another tray is picked, inserted into the box, and filled in the same manner. Once six trays are filled, the box is sent through a case sealer which tapes it shut, and a second FANUC M-10iD/12 robot applies labels to each side of the box before it exits the system. Benefits: Increases packaging speed. Removes the need for workers to pack product, layer trays and seal/label boxes. Reduces physical strain on workers and allows them to inspect parts at a faster pace. Arnold Machine Inc. FANUC America’s Authorized System Integrator Arnold Machine has developed an innovative and consistent robotic assembly solution called the Under-Fluid Hydro-Mount cell. How the System Works: The center bushing of the hydro-mount is hydraulic and assembled inside the fluid that fills it. An operator first loads a rotary table with bushings for assembly. The table rotates to bring the disassembled bushings into the cell where they are picked by a FANUC LR Mate 200iD/7L robot and placed into a submerged gripper. The robot orients the bushing and resubmerges it to fill it with fluid. After the bushing has filled, the robot loads it into a press to finish the assembly process. After assembly, the part is removed from the fluid by another LR Mate 200iD/7L and loaded into a rotary table that transports it through a cleaning station that washes and dries the assembled hydraulic mount. Next, a FANUC M-10iD/12 robot picks the part and loads it into a press that will roll the outer housing of the bushing to prevent separation. The M-10iD/12 then loads the part into a vibration tester to verify proper assembly other specifications. How the system works: First, the parts are loaded on the infeed conveyor where the M-20iD/25 picks the part and orients it onto the iRvision inspection nest. After the inspection is complete, the M-20iD/25 picks the part and loads it into the ROBODRILL for drilling. Minimum Quality Lubricant is used in the ROBODRILL to increase tool life and OEE. Afterwards, the part is placed on the outfeed conveyor and ready for processing. Collaborative Robotic Order Fulfillment

Autonomous Order Fulfillment Centers with FANUC Cobots. FANUC’s newest autonomous order fulfillment, bin transfer and shelving system helps supply chain businesses overcome the labor shortage. How the System Works Using the Tablet TP, a worker can select pick orders from a variety of consumer items. One of two CRX-10iA cobots using an iRVision 3DV/200 vision sensor mounted on its arm scans QR codes on a shelf and the items to confirm the correct products are being picked and transferred to a bin on a table. A CRX-20iA/L cobot, also using the iRVision® sensor, locates a full bin and places it on a LOCUS autonomous mobile robot (AMR). An empty bin on the AMR is located and placed on the table by the cobot. Next, the AMR moves from the order fulfillment area to the shelving side where the CRX-20iA/L picks an empty bin, places it on the AMR and places the full bin on a table. The CRX-20iA/L can pick consumer items of varying sizes and shapes that weigh up to 20kg. A second CRX-10iA with a fixed iRVision 3DV/600 vision sensor locates and picks products from the full bin, scans each according to its RFID tag and places it back on the correct shelf. Robotic Bag Palletizing Solution FANUC's Authorized System Integrator Premier Tech designed the APR-1150 hybrid robotic palletizing solution to handle bagged products including powder, pellets, granular, flake, fibrous, and coarse aggregates. How it Works In this system, a pallet is automatically dispensed to the stacking position on an elevator where sheets can be applied if required. The M-410iB/140H orients and accurately places bags on the stripping plates. The process repeats until a complete layer is formed. Next, the elevator raises the pallet while the four alignment bars maintain the layer in place. The stripping plates open, and units are deposited on top of the load. The elevator is then lowered, and the plates close. If required, the layer can be compressed against the plates to level and stabilize it even further.
