Standard ignition vs. Kemppi Touch Sense ignition (TSI)

Traditionally, the welding arc ignites on filler wire contact to the workpiece. Kemppi's TSI technology senses the workpiece contact and starts a pilot arc and retracts the filler wire backwards before starting the actual welding arc. This guarantees a smooth ignition in varying circumstances, reducing spatter and the time needed for post-weld cleaning.
