Automated welding of aluminum inverter housings with sheets of different thicknesses in a welding system specially developed for this task. All robot movements and welding sequences are programmed and simulated offline, separately from the system, on a digital twin. The finished housings are tested for tightness to IP65 in a negative pressure testing system designed by Fronius.
