IRB 1200: The six-axis laboratory assistant at Eurofins, Germany

ABB Robotics and Eurofins Dr. Specht Express GmbH increase accuracy and efficiency with ABB’s IRB 1200. With speed and accuracy being the most important aspects of analyzing a higher number of samples at consistently high quality and to relieve the laboratory staff, Eurofins decided to automate its pesticide analysis with three ABB six-axis IRB 1200 robots. The robots improved the fluctuation range of the results from 20% to less than 5% with a higher throughput, allowing for up to 400 samples to be processed in 24 hours.
