Vibration Dampened Long-Reach Machining on Cast Iron | Seco Tools

This is a video in collaboration with one of our Italian customers Meccanica Broter. The customer wanted to achieve a roughness of 3.2 mm and tolerances of 2 tenths. Thanks to the use of an anti-vibration bar (https://bit.ly/45JaFUx) , which reaches a length of 10 times the diameter, we were able to achieve the customer's goal in a reliable and repeatable manner. Moreover, We were able to optimize the pass with a 4mm depth of cut (reducing the feed rate by 0.06) while staying within tolerance, thanks to the excellent machinability of the material.
