EWM expanded the Picomig product range with the Picomig 220 and 225. Both machines are unbelievably powerful, with current up to 220 A (direct) and a single-phase mains connection for a 230 V socket. The Picomig 220 can hold a 5 kg wire spool, whilst the Picomig 225 can accommodate a 15 kg one. The compact machines feature an integrated wire feed mechanism and are proficient in three joining processes. With both the Picomig 220 and the Picomig 225, you can choose between the Puls and Synergic versions. Für Finsterle GmbH spielt Flexibilität im täglichen Arbeitsleben eine wichtige Rolle. Schließlich kann niemand voraussehen, mit welchen individuellen Aufträgen die Kunden auf das Unternehmen zukommen – weder in Bezug auf die Anwendung noch in Bezug auf die Bauteile. Hinzu kommt, dass Finsterle mit Feinkornbaustahl arbeitet, der vorgewärmt werden muss, um ohne Rissbildung schweißen zu können. Die Roboteranlage ist folgendermaßen aufgebaut: Es sind zwei Anlagen. Eine Anlage mit einem 1100 kg – Drehkipptisch. Die andere Anlage ist genauso aufgebaut, nur mit einem 500 kg – Drehkipptisch. Damit man hier kleinere Teile bearbeiten kann. Bei Hüffermann Transportsysteme GmbH führte die Herausforderung des Fachkräftemangels zu einer Umstrukturierung ihrer Chassisfertigung. Als Chassis, oder auch Fahrgestell, werden die tragenden Teile von Fahrzeugen bezeichnet. Bereits im Jahr 2018 hat Hüffermann die gesamte Schweißfertigung auf EWM-Geräte umgestellt. Aufgrund der guten Erfahrung mit den EWM-Schweißgeräten haben sie sich auch diesmal für EWM entschieden. In diesem Fall unterstützte der Automatisierungsexperte EWM-Euen das Unternehmen bei der Planung und Realisierung der automatisierten Chassisfertigung. Inzwischen fertigt der Hersteller von LKW-Aufliegern und Anhängern aus dem brandenburgischen Neustadt (Dosse) jede Woche 16 Schlitten- und Außenrollenanhänger auf der Anlage von EWM-Euen und hat damit die Produktion annähernd verdoppelt. Das Schweißgerät selbst, eine Phoenix puls von EWM, steht an der Trennwand zwischen den beiden Sektionen. Das Drahtvorschubgerät drive 4X befindet sich direkt über den Fässern mit dem Zusatzwerkstoff und fördert den Draht über die Kabelschleppkette, die auch Strom und Gas transportiert, zum Roboter. Als einziger Schweißprozess wird forceArc puls genutzt. Chassis, also known as the undercarriage, refers to a vehicle’s load-bearing parts. As early as 2018, Hüffermann switched to EWM machines for its entire welding production line. Satisfied with EWM welding machines, they chose to go with EWM again this time. This time, the automation expert EWM-Euen supported the company in planning and implementing an automated chassis production line. The lorry trailer manufacturer based in Neustadt (Dosse) in the Brandenburg region of Germany now manufactures 16 skeletal and container trailers using the EWM-Euen system every week, almost doubling its production. The welding machine, a Phoenix puls from EWM, is located at the partition separating the two sections. The drive 4X wire feeder is situated directly above the drums with the welding consumable and conveys the wire via the cable drag chain (which also carries electricity and gas) to the robot. forceArc puls is the only welding process used. Mit dem Schweißrauchabsaugbrenner-Kit von EWM können die PM- und MT-Schweißbrenner in einen Schweißrauchabsaugbrenner verwandelt werden. Diese Zusatzoption ermöglicht es, in Verbindung mit einer Absauganlage, den Schweißrauch und die damit verbundenen Schadstoffe direkt an der Entstehungsstelle abzusaugen. Der Absaugstutzen ist in jeweils beide Richtungen um 180° drehbar. Dadurch sind auch schwer zu erreichende Stellen im Bauteil leicht zugänglich. Die Montage des Kits geht schnell und einfach. Über 50 Zeichnungen von unterschiedlichen Bauteilen war die Grundlage für die Automatisierungslösung, die EWM für die Schroeder Valves GmbH entwickelte. Doch eines hatten alle Bauteile des Herstellers und führenden Spezialisten für Pumpenschutzarmaturen gemeinsam: Sie waren rotationssymmetrisch. Diese Tatsache war der Ausgangspunkt für EWM, eine individuell auf diese vielfältige Anforderung angepasste Automationsanlage zu entwickeln. Spezielle Herausforderungen erfordern spezielle Lösungen Dies war auch bei unserem Referenzkunden Schröder Valves der Fall. Die zu schweißenden Bauteile haben eine sehr schmale und tiefe Öffnung. Durch diese Bedingungen können die Schweißer leider nicht sehen, wo sie genau schweißen. Um diese Herausforderung zu lösen und den Schweißern die Arbeit zu erleichtern, wurde auf eine Automatisierungsanlage zurückgegriffen. Um neben der EWM-Euen Roboteranlage eine individuelle Lösung bieten zu können, wurde für den Schweißroboter ein extra Brennerhals entwickelt, der problemlos in die schmalen und tiefen Öffnungen der Bauteile kommt. All of the leading specialist’s components did have one thing in common, though: they were all rotationally symmetrical. This was the starting point for EWM in their mission to develop a custom automation solution tailored to this multifaceted challenge. Special challenges call for special solutions This was the case for our reference customer Schroeder Valves. The components they weld have a very narrow, deep opening. This makes it impossible for the welders to actually see where they are welding. To overcome this challenge and make the welders’ lives easier, Schroeder Valves opted for an automation system. In order to offer a customised solution in addition to the EWM-Euen robot system, we developed an extra torch neck for the welding robot that can be used without any difficulty for these narrow and deep openings.
