Optimisation of a wheel carrier | Simufact

This video shows an optimisation process of a wheel carrier for the racing car of the UPBracing Team 2019. At the beginning of the optimisation you can see the entire build space. Step by step the software reduces the material and starts to shape the geometry. The result is a complex lightweight geometry with organic structures which are optimally adapted to the load cases and requirements occurring during the process. The generated design can excellently be manufactured with 3D printing and saves material as well as weight in production and in use.
