In this customer visit, we are guests at GLS Tanks International GmbH. The company produces high quality tanks for water, wastewater, biogas and process applications, with a strong focus on quality, reliable processes and precise sheet metal processing.
The focus is on the deburring process and surface finishing before the next production steps. At GLS Tanks, sheets are prepared, cleaned, ground and optimized after cutting for the following process stages. An important role is played by the EMC machine, which is equipped with our deburring tools.
The challenge at GLS Tanks is not only classic deburring. A uniform and clean sheet surface is especially important. Cutting spatter and irregularities on the sheet surface must be reliably removed so that quality remains consistently high in the subsequent process. This is exactly where our tools come into use.
Together with GLS Tanks, suitable grinding and deburring tools were developed, tested and adapted to the process. The tools ensure a homogeneous surface, good tool life and stable process quality. On the EMC machine, the sheet metal parts are processed in a single pass, allowing both the top and bottom sides to be efficiently prepared.

The corresponding deburring discs, deburring rollers, deburring blocks and deburring brushes are used on manual machines as well as grinding and deburring machines. The latter have, for example, planetary head systems or oscillating units for uniform processing of the edges.
